<<Back to Kokopelli Technologies>> Why do we carry so many microscopes?Because we believe each one meets a need. See our table comparing the features of each microscope or go to our Microscopes page for a more detailed discussion. The Model 5 is our lowest priced microscope. It is smaller in size, uses a mirror for illumination, and the barrel moves when focusing instead of the stage. We sell the the Model 5-L mostly so we can point out that you do not want to use a microscope that does not have cool illumination. All of our other microscopes feature an LED or a fluorescent bulb for cool illumination. We carry the Model 7 to offer a low cost microscope with cool illumination. Since the Model 7 has only one focusing knob it is our easiest microscope to use. The Model 10 is a full size microscope with very high quality optics and cool illumination. The cost is not much more than a Model 7 for a full size microscope with excellent optics and course and fine focus. The stage moves when focusing the Model 10. The Model 20 is slightly larger than the Model 10 and has exceptional optics. You will experience less eye strain and see more clearly using the Model 20. The Model 22 is similar to the Model 20 except it is a binocular microscope. It includes a mechanical stage, an iris for infinite light intensity control, and spiral focus for the condenser. These last two features enhance contrast so sperm are easier to study. The DC-128 is a digital microscope with a built in camera so you can see the images on your computer. It includes a mechanical stage and features an iris for light control and a spiral focus condenser. |
